Title : Metachronous multiple carcinoma of bilateral maxillary sinus and lung: a case report

Abstract :

This article analyzes a rare case of bilateral maxillary sinus and lung metachronous multiple carcinomas, and introduces the characteristics of the case and the process of diagnosis and treatment. A 58-year-old male patient was admitted to the Department of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery of the Second Hospital of Jilin University in December 2010 because of "left eye exophthalmos and blood in the snot". The patient was admitted to the hospital twice with malignant tumors of the left and right maxillary sinuses. During this period, he also suffered from lung cancer on the left side, and the possibility of pulmonary metastasis was ruled out. Surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and seed implantation were given, and no tumor recurrence has been reported so far
