Successful Liposuction of Lipoma in Prone Position Under Spinal Anesthesia: A Case Report
Spinal anesthesia in the prone position is a rarely used method today but was historically used for upper laparotomies and anorectal surgeries. This case report details a patient with multiple lipomas on the right gluteal region and posterior thigh undergoing liposuction under spinal anesthesia in the prone position. The patient had a normal pre-op status, and liposuction was performed using Klein Fluid - Tumescent anesthesia. Postoperatively, her vital signs (pulse rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure) consistently remained normal. Consequently, she was discharged on the second day after surgery.
