Title : Characteristics and additive effect of hearing loss induced by diabetes mellitus and noise

Abstract :

There is a large and increasing trend of hearing loss worldwide. There are many reasons for hearing loss. Among them, noise-induced hearing loss has a good research basis. In recent years, hearing loss caused by diabetes has gradually attracted attention. Whether it is diabetes-induced hearing loss or noise-induced hearing loss, the audiological features are symmetrical sensorineural hearing loss dominated by high frequencies. The two have certain similar characteristics, but their pathogenesis is different. different. This article reviews the literature on the audiological characteristics, pathogenesis, and mutual overlapping effects of diabetic hearing loss and noise-induced hearing loss, in order to provide ideas for further research
