This paper analyzes the behavior of dengue cases in Latin America and specifically in Colombia between 2021 and 2022. For this purpose, an analysis of data from different global health authorities such as the World Health Organization (WHO), Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), the Ministries of Health of Latin American countries, the press, among others. The results show that Brazil is one of the hardest hit territories in the Region with a high number of infections and deaths due to the virus. It that we are on the verge of a dengue epidemic. For this reason, health authorities and the media in their web portals and printed pages are alerting the population to prevent the virus and minimize its impact.
